Girlfriend Birthday Poem
Posted on March 30th, 2008
If you want a birthday poem for your girlfriend, have a look at the poem below. Sometimes, when you love someone very much, it is not necessarily the materials things which will make her happy but instead having your love is probably more than sufficient to make her feel contented.
Money Poor, Love Rich
Diamonds I can’t afford to buy
For your birthday which is coming by
As you know I’m just an ordinary guy
With money being in short supply
But I have affections that pile high
And love that reaches all the way to the sky
With you my love and affections will lie
No matter how the years fly.

Yo i like it.. Any more?
what does that second to last line mean?… with you my love and affections will lie
It’s quite obvious; that is where ones love and affections shall lie – in that special person. ‘Lie’ meaning reside within, so another way of saying that would be “with you my love and affections do rest” or “in you, my love and affections reside within” – not quite as nice however.
